The motivations document is  427 pages, detailing all of the forensic and circumstantial evidence that convinced the jury to return a verdict of guilty.

The Knox family filed their appeal around the 27th of April, a 300 page document. The appeals hearings are expected to be held in October.

The separate case against Knox for slander was postponed while an appeal is made to a higher court regarding a change of judge. The judge in that case also presided over early rulings that kept Knox in jail before the trial against her started.
